Those who are interested in future development at Rockport Recreation Area are encouraged to attend a public open house and meeting next week in Alpena, Michigan. A draft development plan, designed to complement the park’s Phase 2 general management plan, proposes the addition of a campground and overnight lodging facilities, along with expanded trail uses and other infrastructure enhancements.
