The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced a new state record for almaco jack (Seriola rivoliana). Hayden W. Mundy, 24, of Midway, Ga., reeled in an almaco jack weighing 19 pounds, 10.53 ounces, while fishing offshore on March 14, 2024, shattering the previous record by nearly 180 percent.
