On Friday, February 2, 2024, representatives from the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), Forever Wild Land Trust, City of Springville, St. Clair County Commission and other partner organizations took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve in Springville, Alabama.
