In a case that had been supported by Gun Owners of America and the Gun Owners Foundation, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that individuals deemed by a court to pose a credible threat to the safety of another may be temporarily disarmed. Justice Thomas was the lone member of the Court to correctly apply the text, history, and tradition of the Second Amendment in his dissent.
