New Tactical Light Features High Lumens, Multiple Battery Options

EAGLEVILLE, PA  – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, announced it has added a new model to its PolyTac® line of tactical lights to include an enhanced, dual fuel version. The new light, the PolyTac® X, features 600 lumens, and offers the versatility of a rechargeable battery option.

The light can be powered by either two 3-volt CR123 lithium batteries or one Streamlight rechargeable 18650 lithium ion battery. This multi-battery option allows for use of primary disposable batteries if the rechargeable cell is out of power.

“With its battery versatility and powerful lumen rating, the new PolyTac X is among the brightest and most adaptable polymer tactical lights on the market today,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “It is ideal for everything from conducting searches in low light to lighting up an outdoor trail to repairing equipment. Even when a charging source is not available, you can use disposable batteries, ensuring that you will never run out of power in any situation.”

The PolyTac X uses a power LED to provide three lighting modes:  high, medium, low, and strobe.  Regardless of battery source, the light delivers 600 lumens on high, 11,485 candela, and a 205-meter beam distance, which is enough to provide critical lighting for a range of tactical uses.  When using CR123A batteries, run times range from 2.75 to 34 hours; when using the 18650 battery, they range from 3.5 to 36 hours.  On the strobe setting, run times are 5.5 hours and 8 hours, respectively.

The light’s TEN-TAP® programmable push-button switch allows users to select from three programs: high/strobe/low (factory default); high only or low/medium/high.

The PolyTac X is exceptionally durable, featuring a case made of high impact super tough nylon polymer that also provides a sure grip.  It weighs 4.34 ounces and measures 5.46 inches.

The new light features an IPX7-rated design, providing waterproof operation to 1 meter for 30 minutes, and is impact-resistant tested to 3 meters.  It is available in black, yellow, or coyote.

Streamlight offers an optional 18650 Battery Charger that can recharge either one or two batteries simultaneously, and permits charging through either AC/DC or USB power sources.

The PolyTac X has an MSRP of $75.00.  It is packaged with two CR123 batteries and a removable pocket clip and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime warranty.

(Cincinnati, OH) Mammoth Coolers, a leading provider of premium rotomolded coolers, drinkware, and accessories is proud to launch the highly anticipated Ranger 125, the largest in the product series of arguably the best full performance, lightweight, rotomolded cooler available to date.

The Ranger 125 is an extra-large cooler featuring thick insulated walls to provide maximum capacity with maximum performance. Designed for outdoor activities such as saltwater fishing or big game hunting, it’s perfect for transporting and keeping large quantities of meat or food and beverage cold for extended periods of time. Professional grade ice retention of 8-10+ days, and construction also make its large size useful in small businesses like food service and event planning.

The Ranger series product has a built-in stainless steel hinge, dual locking points, thick rubber lid gasket and most importantly a thicker wall insulated with premium insulation. The Ranger has been available in three sizes, 25, 45 and 65 quarts and with overwhelming demand for this product, Mammoth is excited to offer the Ranger 125.

Mike Hannigan, CEO of Mammoth Coolers tells us, “It’s exciting to offer our largest Ranger Series cooler to date. The larger cooler sizes are quite popular, so we wanted to develop another product to add to our lineup and meet this demand. Like the other models in the Ranger Series, the 125 is designed to maintain maximum ice retention performance while reducing the overall weight. This results in a more usable product and a better experience for the user. The Ranger 125 is about 10% – 15% lighter than comparable models from our competitors and we know that is important to the consumer.”

The Ranger 125 will be offered in both white and tan, with more colors coming in 2018. The product is available to ship now. For more information or order inquiries, please contact support@mammothcooler.com or visit https://mammothcooler.com/.

Expands Color Options, Adds New Tech For Award Winning Bows

COVINGTON, Georgia — “Change Or Get Left Behind” has been the mantra of Georgia-based Obsession Bows since it exploded on to the archery scene five years ago and the award-winning manufacturer does it again in 2018 with the new Fixation and Final Pro X bows.

An all-new riser design for 2018 reduces bow flex during the draw cycle, enabling absolutely superior accuracy, while a new Anti-Torque Cable Rod reduces cam lean and torque. All three bows utilize Obsession’s Two-Track cam design (Patent No. 7997259) for an unmatched smooth draw.

The Fixation produces IBO speeds up to a wicked fast 358 FPS and will be offered in both 6-inch and 7-inch brace heights and with either the M configuration for smooth-as-butter shooting or the XP for pin-your-ears-back speed and performance. “If speed is your goal then grab the Fixation 6XP and buckle up,” says Obsession Bows’ Dennis Lewis. “The XP models feature our DS Cam for awesome acceleration, while the M models utilize the proven DE Cam for exceptionally smooth shooting while giving up very little in speed.” The Fixation weighs in at 4.3 pounds, has a 32 1/4-inch axle-to-axle length and is available in draw lengths from 23.5-inches to 30.5-inches. MSRP for the Fixation is $999.

Obsession’s newest target entry is the Final Pro X. With a 7 3/16-inch brace, axle-to-axle length of 38-inches and IBO speeds up to 330 FPS, the Final Pro X and its DE Cam is poised to consistently put shooters on the medal stand in 2018. It weighs in at 4.3 pounds and is available in draw lengths from 26.5-inches to 31-inches. MSRP is $1099.

Field & Stream Magazine’s 2017 Gear of the Year pick for compound bow, the Obsession Turmoil, will feature the new Hybrid RZ Cam with Rotating Draw Mods which enable half-inch incremental changes in draw without the need for a bow press. “The Turmoil raised the bar on what is expected in a mid-priced bow and with speeds up to 350 FPS, the new Turmoil RZ is poised to blow the roof off those expectations,” proclaimed Lewis. The Turmoil RZ also features the new Anti-Torque Cable Rod and weighs in at 3.8 pounds. Additional specifications include a 6.5-inch brace, 33″ axle-to-axle length and draw lengths from 24-inches to 30.5-inches.

The Final Cut, Huracon and Hemorrhage DE will all sport the new Anti-Torque Cable Rod as well.

Obsession is excited to announce all-new color and decoration options for 2018. Hunters will be able to choose among standard options including patterns from Mossy Oak® like Original Bottomland™, Break-Up Country™, and Mountain Country™, plus Realtree® Edge™, Realtree AP Snow™, Kryptek® Highlander™ Kryptek Typhon™, Moonshine Camo® Muddy Girl™ and Stealth Black. A variety of standard target colors are also available and the popular Obsession Hashtag™ bow for youth and small-framed adults now has an attractive patriotic Stars & Stripes pattern available.

A broad variety of additional patterns, string colors and cam colors are available for 2018, making Obsession one of the most exciting custom bow producers in the country.

“We’re excited to be continuing a long and mutually beneficial relationship with QDMA,” said Ray Scott, President of Whitetail Institute. “Interestingly, both QDMA and the Whitetail Institute will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary in 2018. We’re proud to have started the food plot revolution and we’re proud to be recognized as the leader in the food plot category, and we are also proud to have been working with QDMA for decades.”

The Whitetail Institute was founded in 1988, marking the beginning of the deer-nutrition and food-plot industries. The Institute focuses solely on research, development and testing to provide the top performing products in the industry. The Institute’s mission is to provide the best possible food plot and other deer nutrition products to help deer hunters and managers improve the quality of deer, and back those products up with timely, knowledgeable customer service.

“Both the similarities and successes of these two organizations are astonishing,” said Steve Levi, QDMA Director of Corporate Relations. “For as long as QDMA has been the authority on all things whitetail, Whitetail Institute has been improving the quality of deer habitat. We’re honored to have the continued support of Whitetail Institute as we both celebrate these significant milestones.”

“The education that QDMA provides along with the education and products from Whitetail Institute has helped dramatically improve the quality of the deer and deer habitat that we all love,” said Ray Scott. “Whitetail Institute customers are enjoying their best hunting ever and many have stated that they enjoy planting food plots and managing the habitat as much as they do the hunting itself. It is rewarding to us to hear those type comments. Although they flew by, 30 years is a long time and we look forward to the next 30.”

Trail cameras are the most significant and helpful hunting tool to come along in the last 20-plus years, but they also had their drawbacks – until now. Cuddeback, the industry leader in fast, affordable and quality trail cameras, has solved the biggest trail camera problem: How to check multiple cameras without disturbing your hunting area.

Cuddeback’s new CuddeLink system finally allows users to check multiple trail cameras (up to 15) on a property from one home camera. CuddeLink is not cell service or Wi-Fi. It’s a proprietary wireless mesh network that allows the cameras to communicate with each other, pulling the photos from all the cameras in the system to one home camera.

CuddeLink is built around the top-of-the-line CuddeLink cameras, available in IR, Black Flash and Dual-Flash models, each with Cuddeback’s legendary ¼-second trigger speed. Each camera reaches out and communicates with the other cameras in the system, automatically working together to cover an entire property, whether a few hundred acres or a few thousand. When you check the CuddeLink home camera, you check every camera in your CuddeLink system.

While it might sound complicated, CuddeLink cameras are designed for easy setup, automatically communicating with the other cameras in the system. Simply designate one of the cameras as the home camera and give each camera your desired picture-taking settings, just like an ordinary trail camera.

Unlike ordinary cameras, CuddeLink allows users to check photos more conveniently by placing the home camera in the most convenient location, such as a parking spot or even in a building. Because you check only one camera, you can get your photos more often, even numerous times per day, without disturbing your hunting area. And because the CuddeLink system uses a radio mesh network, there are no cell phone data plans to buy, and no data caps to worry about.

Imagine the ability to frequently gather the pictures from your most remote and sensitive camera sites without going anywhere near those cameras and without paying cell data fees. No longer will it be taboo to place, and frequently check, a camera at a giant buck’s bedroom door. No other system offers the ability to wirelessly monitor multiple cameras, and no other system provides CuddeLink’s level of real-time scouting, especially without monthly cell data bills.

For more details on the amazing new CuddeLink cameras and wireless scouting system, visit Cuddeback.com. While you’re there, check out the Cuddeback accessories that can add PC and internet connectivity to your CuddeLink system.

For more information, please visit www.cuddeback.com.

Founded in 1989, Cuddeback is the world’s oldest trail camera company. While other companies dabble in trail cameras, Cuddeback continues to set the standard for performance, durability, innovation and price. All Cuddeback cameras are designed in the United States by hunters who understand hunting and scouting. At Cuddeback, their goal is to make trail cameras that capture every animal, not just those standing still. That’s why they use state-of-the-art electronics to ensure our industry-leading 1/4-second trigger speed.

Ketchum, ID — As a leader in conservation, First Lite has repeatedly been asked to weigh in on the monument situation in Utah. These are obviously tricky waters to navigate, so we’ll just stick to the facts. Right now, under monument designation, we as hunters have roughly 1.4 million acres of land almost entirely accessible and open to hunting in Bears Ears national monument. In Grand Staircase Escalante national monument, we have another 1.8+ million acres.

If the boundaries are allowed to be redrawn, our hunting and recreation interests will have to contend with competing uses, including mineral extraction. So, the question we need to ask ourselves as hunters: is this worth the gamble? What we have now is millions of acres of hunting and recreation access, but if the monuments are allowed to be altered the future of those lands become uncertain.

Furthermore, we feel that the dismantling of any monument without congressional approval sets a dangerous precedent that could potentially diminish prime hunting areas across the country. Instead of looking backward, let’s look forward. The Antiquities Act has a strong bipartisan history and we cannot stand idly by as its future is thrown into jeopardy.

We are pro-hunting, pro-hunting access and pro-monument. If we have a choice between more or less land to hunt, we will choose more. As our co-CEO Scott Robinson says, “We are either for public lands or against them”, and make no mistake First Lite absolutely stands FOR our public lands.
