Over 7,000 fourth graders explored Michigan’s state parks on a free field trip this spring. As of late September, over 11,000 more students have enrolled in the program for fall. The trip revolves around a short hike through one of 29 host parks, where students are invited to practice their observation skills and discuss their findings with peers.
