Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has confirmed the presence of the fungus that causes white-nose syndrome on two bats captured at Libby Dam in Lincoln County. The detection at Libby Dam is concerning because this is the first detection west of the Continental Divide in Montana, and Libby Dam is one of Montana’s largest known maternity roosts.
