Sandhill crane hunters need to be aware of a hunting district boundary change in south-central Montana for the 2024 season. Sandhill crane hunting for districts 586 and 599 opens Sept. 1. Hunting in the remainder of the Central Flyway, where over-the-counter permits may be used, opens Sept. 28.
